Course Name: Modified Physical Science

Monday

Standard(s): Obtain, evaluate and communicate information from the Periodic Table to explain the relative properties of elements based on patterns of atomic structure.

b. Analyze and interpret data to determine trends of the following:

  • Number of valence electrons

  • Types of ions formed by main group elements

  • Location and properties of metals, nonmetals, and metalloids

  • Phases at room temperature

LT: We are learning to analyze trends in the periodic table.

SC:

-I can identify the main group elements’ phases at room temperature.

-I can identify the locations and properties of metals, nonmetals and metalloids.

Lesson/Activity:

-Daily  10 Review Questions

-Matching Game: Metals, Nonmetals, Metalloids

-Work on Metals, Nonmetals and Metalloids poster

-Proton, Neutron, Electron vocab preview
