Success Criteria:
I know and can use my steps:
Identify your verb
Name it's helping verb
Know it's past participle
Use Agreement where/when needed
I can put it all together to tell a story in the past.


Introduction/Connection: Past Tense Tests returned/examined - what went well?

Direct Instruction:

Let's finish our first Poem: Dejeuner Du Matin

First we'll set out to understand what happened (you decide)
Then we'll practice proper pronunciation and intonation. Then we'll play with the story - what came next? - We'll read some examples and then write our own.

Is there another past tense??? We'll decide whether there is in English - we'll explore the possibility in French

ex. Il a plu v. Il pleuvait

We will learn how to form our new tense - L'Imparfait

We'll read sentences in which others have described their childhood.

Lastly we'll write sentences describing our own childhood.
