Course Name: Modified Physical Science

Monday

Standard(s): SPS8. Obtain, evaluate and communicate information to explain the relationships among force, mass and motion.

B. construct an explanation based on experimental evidence to support the claims presented in Newton’s three laws of motion.

SPS8b: We are learning to explain Newton’s three laws of motion based on an experiment.

Success Criteria: I will know I am successful when I can . . .

-Define force and inertia in terms of balanced and unbalanced forces

-Define Newton’s three laws of motion.

-Using a real world scenario, identify the force and mass involved, and then calculate the velocity and acceleration of the resulting motion.

-Relate each of Newton’s laws to the motion in the real world scenario

Lesson/Activity:

-Daily 10 Questions

-Unit 5 Quiz Review and discuss retakes

-Set up notebook for Unit 6 (Look at Learning Targets and Vocab)

-Review Newton’s Laws Vocabulary Packet-what terms were you already familiar with?

-Newton’s Laws Guided Notes Sheet

-Newton’s Laws Flocabulary Vocab game

Resources:
