-I can understand and create the past tense.

Success Criteria:
I know and can use my steps:
Identify your verb
Name it's helping verb
Know it's past participle
Use Agreement where/when needed
I can put it all together to tell a story in the past.


Introduction/Connection: PC warm-ups

Direct Instruction:

PC races to check proficiency. We'll try some in teams (Connect 4 Game) and then we'll see if you're still strong by yourself.

We'll review our steps and any areas of weakness -

Dejeuner du Matin - the past tense poem! We'll do a quick lecture on the author and his take on poetic interpretation :). Next we'll learn it - being extrememly intentional in our pronunciation (silent letters, liaison, etc)
