Lesson 4: Talking about Chores
SN Unit 5 Lesson Standards:
ASL2.IP1 Students exchange information in the target language, utilizing cultural references where appropriate. Students will:
E. Give and follow directions and instructions (e.g., locatives, and indexing).
F. Ask questions and provide responses based on topics such as self, others, and immediate environment.
I can analyze written English and determine how to convey the meaning via ASL
I can use possessive in agreement with a person’s location to tell the person’s duties

DAILY 10: Fingerspelling Review (student-led)
Intro: Chores Vocabulary (w/pictures)
Dialogue Practice: Household Chores:
Signer A: Ask who B lives with
Signer B: Tell who
A: Ask what each person’s household chores are
B: Name (up to 3) chores for each person (spatial agreement)
Ex: one other person, two other people, three other people or more
A: Ask if B doesn’t mind doing his or her chores (specify which chore)
B: Give opinion
A: Respond
