Georgia National Fair Youth Art Contest 2021 Results
Glynn Academy art students recently competed in the Georgia National Fair Youth Art Contest. This is a statewide competition open to all public, private, and homeschooled high school students across the state.
Glynn Academy demonstrated an ability to compete at an advanced level by capturing several top awards. Ameila Hardman won the prestigious best in category with her colored pencil portrait of a woman. Ameila not only brought home first place honors in drawing but she also won first place in the pen and ink category with her illustration of a shrimp boat on the Georgia coast. Amelia continued her dominating performance with a second place finish in both the drawing and mixed media categories with renderings of a spark plug and a rhino. Amelia finished out her dominating performance with an honorable mention in the painting category with a gouache painting of a downtown Brunswick alleyway. In addition, Anna Vrolijk captured a third place finish in the graphite pencil category with her illustration of shoes.
Please congratulate these two seniors on an outstanding achievement at the state level.
