The Glynn Academy FBLA had twenty-six students compete in the State Leadership Conference with four members advancing to the National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL this summer.
Those earning awards or recognition were:
- 2nd place Broadcast Journalism the team of Lexi Veal, and Chelsea Yates *NATIONAL QUALIFIER
- 3rdplace Introduction to Social Media Strategies team of Katie Hickson, Lexi Veal, and Abigail Winford *NATIONAL QUALIFIER
- 5th place Local Chapter Annual Business Report team of Olivia Jarrell and Sara Jane Veal (potential National Wild Card qualifier)
- Broadcast Journalism (Finalist) Sarah Bagley and Jordyn Williams
- Jalen Mays was a finalist in Who’s Who in FBLA
- SLC Student Ambassadors: Makay Lewis, Anthony Tortorete, Trenton Williams, and Elly Wills
- Mrs. Erica Veal received the Georgia FBLA Adviser of the Year award
Additional students competing at State were: Alexandra Cheong-Calimano, Nicholas Deleo, Will Garrett, José Martinez, Christina Massey, John McCleod, Brayden Neill, Madison Pruitt, Justin Puryear, Jack Redden, Lily Stewart, Caitlyn Tigani, and Brennan Wood.
As a chapter, Glynn Academy earned Superior recognition, Gold seal chapter award and came in 9th place in Chapter of the year competition.
