2022-2023 Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Information
Why You Should Take an AP Exam:
The main reason to take an AP exam is to demonstrate mastery of rigorous college-level material. By scoring a passing grade on an AP exam (3 or above), you can earn college credit at the majority of colleges and universities. Scoring well on AP exams is a strong indication of college readiness and is looked upon favorably by colleges.
AP Exam Fees for 2022-2023:
To qualify for exam fee reductions, students must meet ONE of the following criteria (with verifying documentation):
- Annual family income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service. https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/fr-021622 and https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2022-02-16/pdf/2022-03261.pdf
- Enrollment in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g. Federal TRIO programs such as Upward Bound).
- Family receives public assistance.
- Lives in federally subsidized public housing, a foster home or is homeless.
- A ward of the state or an orphan.
- Household receives TANF or SNAP or other public assistance.
Note: Qualifying Low-Income Students get their first, and only the first, exam free. Fee reductions apply to all subsequent exams.

AP Registration and Payment Deadlines 2022-2023: ($40 Late/Cancellation Fees are in effect!)
- Fall Semester and Year Long AP Courses - You must register and pay for your AP exams by the Fall deadline of October 27th, 2022. You may pay full payment or a minimum $40 deposit per exam (this includes the qualifying free exam which will be refunded after the exam is taken). Full payment will be due by February 23rd, 2023.
- Spring Semester AP Courses - You must register and pay for your AP exams in full by the Spring deadline of February 23rd, 2023.
- Registering after the Fall or Spring deadlines will result in an additional $40 fee per late registered exam.
- Canceling after the Fall or Spring deadlines will result in the $40 deposit per exam to not be refunded. If students paid in full, $40 per exam will be withheld to pay the cancellation fee(s).
- Students may pay for their AP Exam(s) with exact cash or a check (made payable to Glynn Academy) to Mrs. Meyer in room 1112 (Science Building Administration Office). ALL EXAM BALANCES must be paid in full by February 23rd, 2023.
- Any student that has not paid for their exam(s) in full by February 23rd, 2023, is opting to not sit for their exam and the student’s exam order will be canceled with appropriate fees applied.
