GA FBLA Members Attend State and Advance to Nationals

Forty-three members of the Glynn Academy chapter of Future Business Leaders of America competed at the State Leadership Conference on March 10-11 and brought home several awards and chapter recognitions. Twenty-three members placed top 10 in finals, with over seventeen advancing to Nationals, the highest number of qualifiers in Glynn Academy FBLA history. The Glynn Academy chapter of FBLA received recognition as the Region 3 Sweepstakes Champion, Superior Gold level Chapter, and earned 6th place in the Division I level of Chapter of the Year. 

 

Olivia Jarrell was elected to the Georgia FBLA Executive team as the 2023-2024 Georgia FBLA State President. She also received recognition for earning all four levels of the Business Achievement Awards.


The following members qualify for Nationals this summer:

  • Team of Chelsea Yates, Elly Wills, and Lexi Veal 2nd place in Broadcast Journalism.
  • Team of Alexandra Cheong, Fisher Giannotti, and Hayden Hancock 2nd place in Graphic Design.
  • Wyatt Wilson 6th place in Help Desk.
  • John McCleod 4th place in Local Chapter Annual Business Report.
  • Team of Nick DeLeo and Taryn Fenwick 4th place in Partnership with Business.
  • Team of Katie HicksonOlivia Jarrell, and Sara Jane Veal 4th place in Sales Presentation.
  • Team of Katie Hickson and Abigail Winford 2nd place in Social Media Strategies
  • Madison Pruitt 4th place in Word Processing. 

The following members earned Top Ten recognition: Taryn Fenwick in Community Service Project; team of James Neal and Jason Young in Digital Video Production; James Neal in Electronic Career Portfolio; team of Abigail Winford, Elly Wills, and Lexi Veal in Intro to Business Presentation; Blake Scarbrough in Introduction to Public Speaking; team of Julia Jarrell, Pasley Mansfield, and Riley Pegram in Introduction to Social Media Strategies; Justin Puryear in Job Interview; Vincent Higgins in Sports & Entertainment Management; team of Brooke Strickland and Wyatt Wilson in Website Design.
