The Formal Graduation Ceremony

Due to the formal nature of the Graduation Ceremony, we ask all parents, friends, and guests to follow some basic rules associated with the Commencement:

  • All guests are asked to remain seated from the time the processional begins until the conclusion of the recessional (except for the pledge, the National Anthem, and the Glynn Academy Alma Mater)  Students will recess directly to the parking lot and there will be no gathering on the field. Attendees will not be permitted on the field before, during, or after the graduation ceremony. Once the graduates have cleared the field, the audience will be dismissed through the ticket gates.
  • When the graduates are introduced, all guests are asked to hold their applause until the conclusion of the Graduation Ceremony to allow each graduate’s name to be clearly heard by all.
  • Please remember, to ensure everyone’s ability to see during the graduation ceremony, guests are not permitted to stand and move to take pictures. No balloons or large placards that would limit the visibility of others will be allowed in the stands.
