Calculus Competition

On Saturday, April 26, eight students (two teams) competed in the Georgia Association of Advanced Placement Math Teachers’ Third Annual Calculus Competition. They traveled to Tift County High School (one of the four sites offered statewide) and competed against seventy other students in individual and team competitions. Luca Desrosier earned first place in the individual competition at the Tift site and ninth overall. Luca, Holden Couturier, Sophie Baldwin, and Brayden Neill earned second place in the team competition at the Tift site and ninth overall. Other students competing included Xander Ruhlow, Cam Schueneman, James Kennedy, and Austin Harris. Although this team of students did not bring home a trophy, they earned highly competitive scores just out of reach of the podium. Great job, Mathletes!
