A little about me:
I was born here in Brunswick, grew up and attended school in Darien, GA. I was the 1st person in my immediate family to graduate high school, as well as to go to college. I retired from teaching High School Mathematics in 2018 from Brunswick High School after 30 years; the same year my daughter graduated from Glynn Academy. In 2022, I started at Glynn Academy as a half-day Special Education teacher and have been learning about the expectations and beauty of working with students who learn math a bit differently from my past students. This is my 3rd year in this position and I have enjoyed interacting with students on a daily basis again. I substituted and filled in for friends from 2018 until starting at GA, but that is not the same as having your own students which I love. I have 4 children and 3 grandchild; my children range from 39 years old to 8 years old. My oldest son graduated from BHS and is a Mechanical Engineer working at Georgia Tech; my 24 year old daughter graduated from GA and is a CNA at a local nursing home; my 21 year old son graduated from Coastal Plains Charter High School and is working in Atlanta and my youngest son is starting 2nd grade locally. I have 3 grandchildren with 1 on the way. Piper, Nala and Scout are my 3 dogs that along with my family make my life fun and full.
