With over 20 years of administrative experience and now entering his ninth year as Principal of Glynn Academy, Matthew Blackstone is a seasoned educational leader dedicated to student achievement, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous growth.

 Academic Distinction & Honors Programs

Glynn Academy is consistently ranked among Georgia’s top high schools for academic achievement, graduation rates, and college readiness. As an AP Honor School, we offer a wide array of rigorous Advanced Placement courses and are proud of our growing number of AP Scholars each year.

We also celebrate our students selected for the Georgia Governor's Honors Program, a prestigious summer academy for advanced study in the arts, STEM, and humanities. These scholars exemplify the “#GAway”—intellectually curious, creative, and passionate.

 College Dual‑Enrollment Opportunities

Through partnerships with the College of Coastal Georgia, Coastal Pines, Georgia Tech, and other institutions, Glynn Academy offers a robust Dual Enrollment program. Students can earn both high school and college credits through on-campus and online courses—accelerating their academic journey and saving on future college costs.

 CTAE & Career‑Readiness Programs

In collaboration with Golden Isles College and Career Academy (GICCA), we offer comprehensive CTAE and career readiness programs that equip students with the skills, certifications, and real-world experiences needed for success in college and the workforce. Our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) clubs—such as FBLA, FCCLA, and DECA—empower students to develop leadership skills, explore career interests, and compete at the highest levels. Last year, our students earned top honors at district, state, and national competitions. These programs prepare students for success in high-demand fields and real-world environments.
