Student Dual Enrollment Steps

 

Welcome to the GA Counseling Home Page!

 

The Glynn Academy Counseling Team consists of experienced professionals who work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure success for ALL students. We provide high-quality, comprehensive school counseling programs that help students develop the academic readiness skills, career readiness skills, and life skills they need to achieve their personal goals. We do this by delivering multi-tiered, evidence-based school counseling services to address students’ developmental needs – such as core counseling classroom lessons; schoolwide events; small group counseling; individual brief counseling; postsecondary planning & advisement; counseling consultation & referral; parent programs; and responsive services. 

Our team is committed to eliminating barriers to achievement and to providing every student, regardless of background or circumstance, with access to the resources and support necessary to cultivate resilient, confident, successful individuals who are prepared to navigate the challenges they may face as they strive toward their life goals!

Welcome to Dual Enrollment!

Our goal is to keep students & families informed as they navigate the exciting journey of Dual Enrollment (DE). While Glynn Academy provides a clear step-by-step framework for participating in the program, student ownership is essential to success. With parents and guardians acting as guides, we encourage students to prepare for the responsibilities of a college environment by taking the lead in managing deadlines and completing their own paperwork. To help you do that, we’ve created a video presentation (with sound) to walk students & families through the process — from applying for dual enrollment to registering for DE classes at the college.

When do I meet with my counselor to register for dual enrollment classes at the college?

Students are assigned to a school counselor based on the first letter of the student's last name.

Book an Appointment with Your Counselor 

If you (or someone you know) is experiencing a crisis, you do not need an appointment; contact the Counseling Office right away. Your well-being is our top priority!

For non-emergent matters — such as questions about your schedule, assistance with a personal matter, concerns about a class, requests for a letter of recommendation, inquiries about dual enrollment or college admissions, etc. — please book an appointment with your assigned counselor to ensure our dedicated time and attention. Doing so helps us provide timely support tailored to meet your needs.

To schedule an appointment, simply click on the link for your assigned counselor and use your GA student credentials to login to the booking site. You will receive email confirmation of your appointment, which also serves as your pass to the School Counseling Office.
