Glynn Academy

Golden Isles Government Immersion Day is a city and county government shadowing program which gives high school students the opportunity to explore municipal careers by spending the day with a city of Brunswick and Glynn County staff person. This shadowing opportunity gives students a firsthand experience in city and county leadership positions and a networking opportunity among city and county staff and elected officials. Each student will be partnered with a city or county leader across various departments to learn firsthand what goes into operating a city/county. Students will be involved with all aspects of local government and gain real-time experience in the day-to-day operations of their community. Glynn Academy students had the opportunity to work with the Downtown Development Authority, Municipal Court, Public Works and Engineering, Tax Department, Clerk Office, Fire Department, Police Department, and many more.
