Joie Showers Selected November Golden Rule. Here is what a teacher wrote about her:

I taught Joie last year in my English class, and in that time, she made a strong impression on me in how she conducts herself with her teachers, her peers, and even strangers. She is thoughtful, always sincerely inquiring about someone's day or someone's well-being. With her teachers, she is the epitome of respectful, always kind and considerate. For example, Joie is a member of ROTC, and on many mornings before school, the competition team will be working out, running laps around GA with weighted vests, as teachers make their way from the parking lot. Even in these times, Joie will cordially greet me; with flushed cheeks and gasping breaths, she will ask about me and care enough to listen in spite of her circumstances! It is with a full heart and great pleasure that I nominate Joie for the Golden Rule character award.
