Keegan is a perfect example of the Golden Rule in every aspect of his character and actions. He quietly brightens everyone's day when he enters the classroom with a greeting and smile setting a positive tone for others. His infectious attitude reaches everyone around him. I remember when he sat down with a peer who was not having a good day and by the time class was almost finished, the student was laughing all because of Keegan. He is quick to help anyone who needs it, friend or not and always takes initiative without being asked. His manners are impeccable, but it is his kindness that truly stands out. He is part of the school's baseball team. I once asked him if he was good at his position, and his humble response was truly impressive. His response was more focused on the importance of being part of the team than how he viewed his skill. He could have so easily bragged, but that is not Keegan's wheelhouse. I have seen him interact with almost all of his peers in our class, and he treats each and everyone with respect and kindness. When asked to work with a group he may not choose, he does so without argument and full of kindness. Everyday he leaves the classroom with a sincere "Have a good day," just a small way showing what a big heart he has. All of his attributes are perfect examples of what we would like to see others display everyday and are exactly what defines the Golden Rule.
