Summer School Information

2026 High School Summer School
Glynn County Schools is offering free face-to-face summer school to high school students for:
Intersession/Credit Repair: To improve 2nd semester failing grade (grade 65 - 69), or to prepare for EOC retest.
Summer School: To retake failed academic courses 64 or below, complete their Edgenuity course, OR earn an initial credit needed for graduation on the Edgenuity platform
Summer school seats will be reserved first to seniors, then to juniors, and will be opened up to sophomores and freshmen if seats are available. Summer school and intersession hours of operation are: Monday-Friday 8:30-12:30

Mandatory Registration: Parents/guardians must register their child for summer school by 1 pm on May 21, by filling out the online registration form
Attendance: Summer school students are expected to be on time and attend every day. Any student who misses more than 3 days will be dropped from the summer school roster.
Behavior: Summer school is NOT required. It is a FREE opportunity to make up classes or failed tests. We will not tolerate disruptions, class disturbances, or sleeping in class. Any student who does not take summer school seriously or who causes a disruption will be dismissed for the remainder of summer school.
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch served daily at no cost: Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:20 daily and Lunch will be from 12:15 – 12:30 daily.
Transportation: Bus transportation will be provided to and from summer school and intercession for students who qualify to receive transportation during the school year.
