EVERY DAY:
Always come into the LIVE MEET at the beginning of the block! Attendance will be based on you entering the meet
by the end of the 90 minutes,
but I need you to be there on time at the beginning, if at all possible, so you can
hear my lesson and ask questions before you get down to the day's work!

NOTE: Later in the block I will post the video recording of an earlier
American Lit live meet direct instruction, so you can watch it if you come in
late! It is always important stuff, so be sure to watch!!!!!

Yesterday, you were instructed to read “Bastard Out of Carolina" and rewrite the ending of the story from the point-of-view of EITHER Mama or the store manager 
 from the bottom of page 79, where the store manager first begins to speak. 

TODAY
1. Be on time coming into the meet today!!
In small breakout groups, each person in the group must share his/her new story ending that you wrote yesterday.  
You can either :
>> Share your screen for everyone to read yours
OR
>> You can read it out loud to them.


2.  As each person in the group reads, the others in the group must GRADE them, according to the bullet-Rubric. (20 points per bullet)
Did they:
Stick with your chosen 1st person narrator (Mama or the Store manager).
Use precise words and phrases, details, and sensory language consistently to convey a vivid picture of the events.
Use ideas and details from source material (the original version) effectively.
Use dialogue
Use your best spelling, punctuation, and grammar!
3. SUBMIT the self-grading form below
NOTE: 
Each of you will grade yourself and submit the form below!
You must also appoint a Group Leader who will report the grades that the whole group decides on for each member of the group. The group leader must submit to me the list (Just add to the form below) of everyone who was in the group and what their grades are, according to the group members.

1. Live Meet will offer TEST hints and take Attendance

2. The TEST is the only thing you will do today.

Use your NOTES!
Take your time! There will be no Re-Testing!
Be sure to turn it in by the end of the block - or end of the day, if you have a problem!
This one has HUGE EXTRA CREDIT added for everyone who passes!!!
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Get your notes together so they can help you do well on the test!  You have time to go back and be sure you have notes and a chart on every story!
