SN 3.12: Telling How Long
Georgia Performance Standards (GPS):
ASL1.IP1 Students exchange simple information in the target language, utilizing cultural references where appropriate. Students will:
I. Ask questions and provide responses based on suggested topics (e.g., yes/no and wh- questions).
J. Use sequenced information meaningfully (e.g., telling time, days of the week, months, seasons, expressive fingerspelling, numbers 0 -100).
ASL1.IP2 Students demonstrate skills necessary to sustain exchanges in the target language. Students will:
A. Initiate, participate in, and close a brief exchange (e.g., turn taking and dialogue).
B. Demonstrates SLPI Novice + to Survival or ASLPI Level 1 to 2 proficiency.

Learning Targets/Success Criteria: After this lesson, I will know how to use ASL to...
use ASL to tell how long by incorporating numbers with basic time signs
sign the concepts of MINUTE, HOUR, and HOW MANY MINUTES/HOURS

Today’s Agenda:
Daily 10- Audism- what is it? (video/discussion)
Lesson 3.12: (see Google slides in Google classroom for today’s date)
Intro new vocabulary: time signs
Guided Pairs Practice:
Signer A: Ask how long an activity takes
Signer B: Give information
Signer A: Respond
Independent Practice: Number your paper 1-4.
Write down 2 questions that must be answered in minutes & 2 questions that must be answered in hours.
Now, walk around the classroom and ask four different people a question and write down their names/responses.
