Standards Addressed
ASL1.IP1 Students exchange simple information in the target language, utilizing cultural references where appropriate. Students will:
A. Produce gestures, handshapes, movements, facial expressions and pantomime. (e.g., marked and unmarked handshapes, emotions).
ASL1.IP2 Students demonstrate skills necessary to sustain exchanges in the target language.
Students will:
A.Initiate, participate in, and close a brief exchange (e.g., turn taking and dialogue).

use pronoun signs appropriately
use listing and ordering & shoulder shifting for multiple concepts

engage in signed dialogues about relationships
use appropriate NMS (mouth morphemes for descriptive vocabulary, adverbs, size concepts)
Use number distinction pronouns in ASL

This month’s expressive assignment: THE THANKFULNESS PROJECT
Thankful for a staff member in ASL
Your task is to create a video signing a thank you message to someone here @ GA or here in Glynn County. It could be your third grade teacher, your middle school art teacher, elementary librarian, etc. (You can’t use Mrs. Baker).
Include:
Why you appreciate them
Did he/she do something special for you or your class?
Did he/she go out of his/her way to help you?
Record your video, and be sure to ask a classmate to voice your video for you (or caption your video in English- your choice).
Submit it to Google classroom and Mrs. Baker will send it to your staff member.
Deadline is Wednesday, November 17th.
