Payne Course/ Subject: Geometry with Support Date of Instruction: 05-18-21 Opening (I Do) An engaging process for lesson introduction that is specifically planned to encourage equitable and purposeful student participation. Describe the instructional process that will be used to introduce the lesson. TKES 1, 2, 3,4,5, 8,10 Standard/s: ***We are reteaching and filling in gaps from the Algebra standards to ensure the students have the skills needed to be successful in Algebra 2 *** MGSE9-12.A.REI.3 Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable including equations with coefficients represented by letters. For example, given ax + 3 = 7, solve for x. MGSE9-12.A.SSE.1 Interpret expressions that represent a quantity in terms of its context. MGSE9-12.A.SSE.1a Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients, in context. MGSE9-12.A.SSE.1b Given situations which utilize formulas or expressions with multiple terms and/or factors, interpret the meaning (in context) of individual terms or factors. Learning Target: Students will simplify radicals without a calculator. Students will be able to perform operations with radicals. Success Criteria: I can simplify radical expressions. I can add, subtract, and multiply radical expressions.
