Instructional Strategies:


Journal (Warm-up): What are some key rules to follow when making a good first impression and professional introduction? What are things to avoid and what should you focus on the most? Explain in paragraph form. (Copy question and add to the Week 1 Journal you started yesterday and don't forget to give your paragraph response.)

Opening (I do): How well do you Listening? Passage with 6 questions. PowerPoint Notes on Listening vs. Hearing.  

We Do: The Listening Game (Group of 5, Group of 10, Whole Class)

You Do: Vocabulary Worksheet (independent)

Closing (We Check): After the Listening Game, students had to explain why it was called the "listening game" rather than "Hearing game"
