Unit 1: Introducing Oneself
Review of Lessons 1.1-1.12

Standards Addressed
ASL1.IP1 Students exchange simple information in the target language, utilizing cultural references where appropriate
ASL1.IP2 Students demonstrate skills necessary to sustain exchanges in the target language.

Learning Targets
Students will:
Review vocabulary and phrases for greeting, asking and giving names, and expressing pleasure in meeting.
Review vocabulary for: gender, clothing, colors, shapes and numbers, items in classroom/commands using body & objects
Answer teacher’s questions
Practice numbers 1-15
Identify ten fingerspelled names
Recall appropriate ways to get a Deaf person’s attention


Today's Lesson/Agenda:
-Daily 10: Watch Video: Fingerspelling Practice (write 20 names you see signed on video). Go over answers.
-Whole group review: Students will review for Unit 1 quiz through whole class games (Zonk!, Jeopardy, etc.)
-Students will complete a self-assessment over Unit 1 Topics and determine: “What do I know well and what do I need to review?” (Rate themselves from 1-5).
