Introduction/Connection:

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Opening (I do):  Introduction to leadership. Notes on the different leadership styles.

Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE:  

We Do:  Team selection for the Tallest Tower challenge & set up (formatting) the Leadership essay together.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

You Do:  Tallest Tower challenge - with the limited supplies and a time limit which team can build the tallest tower in 30 minutes.

Leadership Essay.

Closing  (We Check)

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .
