Learning Target: I can identify Spanish adjectives
Success Criteria: I can describe people and things using Spanish adjectives: Example: Mrs. Fendig is very nice. (La señora Fendig es muy simpática.)


Intro connection: Think of your best friend, and think of some ENGLISH adjectives that describe him or her. (kind, funny, helpful, giving, dependable, understanding, nice, happy, real, etc.)

Read chapter 1 opener. page 19

Use Textbook Chapter 1 document attached below, go to page 51. Onto your own notebook paper, copy and translate each word from ONLY THESE TWO SECTIONS on page 51: "Describing a person," and "Describing classes and courses"(the 1st and 5th sections only, of page 51) You may use google translate to look up the word meanings in English.


Homework: Draw (Illustrate) and label in Spanish, the 25 adjectives that you translated today. You are not going to be graded on your artistic ability. See my examples attached below. NOTE: Some of the words in my sample drawings are additional adjectives that you will get at a later time.v
