I can solve by elimination.

Success Criteria:

I can use determine factors needed to eliminate variable. I can solve for one variable. I can use substitution to solve for a given variable.

Introduction:

Daily 10

Instructional Strategies:

Opening (I do): Notes on solving systems of linear equations by graphing, substitution and elimination method.

Work Session (We do-You do): Class will go over the previous problems 1-4 elimination.

Closing (We check): Students will come to the board and share solutions with the class. Class discussions will arise when necessary.

Differentiation:

Scaffolding throughout lesson and applications will be provided for rigor.

Assessment Strategy:

Teacher will use effective questioning throughout class. Students will pair-share questions solutions on given assignments. Observation throughout class will be performed by the teacher.
