Reading: Hay una chica. Se llama Lupe. Ella es cómica y inteligente. Ella tiene una mochila. Hay papel y un lápiz, y tres cuadernos azules en su mochila. Estudia cuando tiene un examen. Estudia mucho. Ella estudia en la biblioteca. Tiene una amiga. Ellos trabajan en un restaurante. Questions to Answer: ¿Quién tiene una mochila? ¿Qué hay en su mochila? ¿Cómo es Lupe? ¿Cuándo estudia? ¿Cuánto estudia? ¿Dónde estudia? ¿Dónde trabajan Lupe y su amiga?


Discuss how to say what is GOING TO HAPPEN in the future (Write this formula: "form of Ir, + a + infinitive"
Ex: Voy a nadar. Vas a nadar. Va a nadar. Vamos a nadar. Van a nadar.
page 101, exercise 2 - ask the question with "vas a..." 1. ¿Vas a estudiar español?

Do page 116, exercise 3 with "going to" formula (form of "ir" + a + infinitive. 1. Yo voy a sacar una nota buena.


Introduce the ER and IR verbs with vocabulary list.

Repeat ER/IR verbs list

Do the "word association" handout, writing an AR, ER or IR verb next to each phrase that you associate with that phrase. Do not use any verbs more than once.
Write a sentence saying if you ARE GOING to do each verb after school today, or are NOT GOING to do each verb after school. Example: Voy a comer. No voy a correr. Voy a escribir. No voy a repetir español. Do this for most of the ER/IR verbs if you can.
