Success Criteria:

I can find the amplitude.

I can find the period.

I can find 5 critical points for on cycle.

I can a,b,c,d from the graph.

Introduction/Connection: 

Do now  -SAT/ACT Practice- students will answer multiple choice questions written in the SAT or ACT style – posted in Google Classroom

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

I will go over homework with the students and answer any questions. I will introduce solving word problems using the graphing calculator. 

Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE:  

We will work the 2 word problems on the top of the review worksheet together.  We will discuss how the window of the calculator should be set. We will talk about the verbal clues that are given to us in the word problem.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

We will begin class with a Quiz on graphing trig functions.

Students will complete Yellow Book p428 45 -52 as well as complete the review worksheet for homework.

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding.

SUMMARIZE/CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING:
