Standards: colors, class names in Spanish

Learning Targets: I can identify time expressions. I can identify adjectives that describe myself. I can explain what "gender" means in relation to nouns and adjectives in Spanish. I can list the colors in Spanish

Success Criteria: I will know I get it when I can describe friends with the correct gender of some Spanish adjectives.

Intro/Connection: What are some typical core classes (math/science/english or language arts/ social studies. Answers: biology/forensics/chemistry......

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:

Copy colors into notebooks! (attached)

GROUP WORK: play "concentration" with adjectives

With same partner, write out the translations at the back of the adjectives packet. (1-21)

If time, begin "gender agreement notes"

Differentiation: aural - listening exercises with times kinesthetic - drawings for vocabulary retention. Slower-paced learners: provide the lined template for the drawings.

Assessment Strategy: gauge by monitoring

Summarize: 3/2/1 3 physical adjectives, 2 personality adjectives, 1 adjective that describes this class. (interesante!!!)
