SUCCESS CRITERIA -
I can recall grammar and vocabulary from previous Spanish course level.

INTRODUCTION/CONNECTION-
Activator: Greet at door with Spanish greeting. Instruct class when they find their seat (from seating chart attendance view on the smart board), ask and say, in Spanish, "My name is..." to someone next to y ou. Ask their name: "What's your name? in Spanish!!"

In the first page of your notebook, label it “Daily Tens.” Then, Tell 3 people in Spanish “Nice to meet you.” Respond with, “Same here.”


DIRECT INSTRUCTION/GUIDED PRACTICE-
Teach New Fendig Classroom Procedures. See. Do. Repeat
announce about exemption assessment by Friday. After school only.
Group conversations: Greet each other. Ask each other how you are doing. (Answer) Ask each other if you like to learn Spanish. (Answer) Ask each other how old you are. (Answer) Ask each other if you go to the beach a lot. Ask each other if you eat in the cafeteria. (Answer) Ask each other where you learn Spanish. Answer.
Go over the homework assignment to show how it works, for online submission tonight!
Begin the day 1 & 2 proficiency check document (attached) Leave it in class for completion in class the next day. Do not remove from classroom.


DIFFERENTIATION-
Challenge work: Read about Estados Unidos from Teacher's Discovery Panorama Cultural

SUMMARIZE/CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING: Demonstrate how to submit tonight’s homework, by not only clicking submit, but also filling in the email addresses mentioned in the instructions attached to today’s lesson.

HOMEWORK: Online "self-check quiz" submission of a 25-question first day review. Instructions are attached as a file. Note: If you don't have computer access at home tonight, get a print copy of an alternate assignment from my desk. Here is that link:
