TWO DAY LESSON
Standards: definite and indefinite articles, subject pronouns
Learning Targets: I can identify the subject pronouns in spanish. I can explain the difference between tú, usted, and ustedes.
Success Criteria: I can use "the,a,an and some" correctly in sentences. I can name the eight (8) Spanish subject pronouns. (yo, tí, él, ella, ustedes, nosotros, ellos, ustedes) and WHAT THEY MEAN.

Illustrate and label 18 of them.

Copy the Box of Subject Pronouns into your notes.
Complete the subject pronoun wheel (attached) yo, tú, él, ella, usted, nosotros, ellos, ustedes (he = él, she = ella, formal you = usted (ud.)we = nosotros/nosotras they = ellos/ellas you plural = ustedes (uds.)

Written Sentences:
Using the 12 nationalities on page 51, , write 6 sentences for girls saying " I am from (country) I am (nationality). Soy de Colombia. Soy colombiana.
Also write 6 sentences for boys saying "I am from (country) I am (nationality). (ex: Soy de Cuba. Soy cubano.)

]Take notes: To conjugate a verb means to write the verb IN ORDER into its six forms to agree with the subjects.
SER = to be (am is are) : soy, eres, es, somos, sois, son

Explain what "conjugate" means
Conjugate SER into your notebooks. (See page 34).
If time, begin Ser packet (attached)
Write down the three questions:
¿Quién eres (tú)? ¿Cómo eres (tú)? ¿De dónde eres (tú)
Explain that one can omit the subject pronoun, and why. (The verb form tells the listener/reader who the subject is)
