A comprehensive course designed to introduce students to the principles, structures, and functions of government in the United States. this course will explore the historical foundations of American democracy, the Constitution, branches of government, rights and responsibilities of citizens, etc... Through a combination of lectures, discussions, projects, and interactive activities, students will gain a profound understanding of how government operates at the federal, state, and local levels.
 
Students will explore key topics such as the philosophical underpinnings of American democracy, including the Enlightenment ideas that influenced the Founding Fathers. The course will delve into the structure and functions of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, examining the system of checks and balances and the separation of powers. Additionally, students will study the Bill of Rights and other significant amendment, gaining insight into how these laws protect individual freedoms and shape the political landscape.
 
The course also emphasizes the importance of civic engagement and informed citizenship. Students will learn about the electoral process, the role of political parties, and the significance of civic responsibilities such as voting and community involvement.
