Glynn County Schools Outpaces State Record with 98.6% Graduation Rate

Glynn County Schools is proud to celebrate another year of remarkable student achievement as the Class of 2026 records strong graduation rates across the district!

According to official data from the Georgia Department of Education, Glynn County Schools achieved a 98.6% district graduation rate in 2026—exceeding the state average of 88.5%.

Both of our high schools continue to perform at exemplary levels:
Brunswick High School: 99.4% graduation rate
Glynn Academy: 98.0% graduation rate

While Georgia's statewide four-year graduation rate reached a record 88.5% in 2026, Glynn County Schools has consistently set a higher benchmark. Since 2019, our district rate has remained above 93%, climbing as high as 99.0% in 2025 and holding strong at 98.7% this year.

"I'm incredibly proud of the class of 2026, and the teachers, families, school and district staff, and communities who supported them," State School Superintendent Richard Woods said. "Together with schools, districts, and partners across the state, we're ensuring that the high-school diploma in Georgia is a ticket to a successful future."

Sustaining graduation rates near 99% requires sustained focus, innovative instruction, and strong community support. Through robust Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways, Work-Based Learning, Accelerated Career Diplomas, fine arts, and rigorous academic coursework, Glynn County Schools ensures that every diploma represents genuine readiness for college, skilled careers, or military service.
